These three apps get shortlisted together constantly and they're barely the same category. Rebuy is a personalization platform with a platform price. ReConvert (now branded Upsell.com) is a cheap, capable post-purchase funnel builder. Selleasy is the budget bundles-and-cart app with the best rating of the three. Which one fits depends on what job you're hiring for. Facts checked early June 2026, against each vendor's listing, pricing page, and help docs.
Disclosure first: we have a referral relationship with Rebuy and none with ReConvert or Selleasy. As with every comparison we publish, that changes nothing below; the budget pick wins the segment it deserves to win.
The short version
- Selleasy (4.9 stars, 2,390 reviews) is the right starting point for most stores: free up to 50 orders a month, then $9 to $29, Amazon-style frequently-bought-together bundles, and a pricing policy worth naming because it's rare: your tier is locked at install for the life of your subscription.
- ReConvert (4.8 stars, 2,835 reviews) owns the cheap post-purchase funnel: $4.99 entry, a drag-and-drop thank-you page editor, A/B testing on paid tiers. Read the billing section below before installing.
- Rebuy (4.7 stars, 823 reviews) is what you graduate to when the cart becomes a revenue project: Smart Cart fully replaces your cart drawer with tiered free-shipping bars, gifts with purchase, and subscription switching, plus AI recommendations, search, checkout extensions, and built-in A/B testing. Plans start at $99 a month for 1,000 orders.
Pricing, including the parts that generate complaints
| Selleasy | ReConvert | Rebuy | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Up to 50 orders/month | Dev stores only | Dev stores only (the "Monetize" free plan shows partner-brand ads on your store) |
| Entry | $9 (500 orders) | $4.99 (50 orders or $50 upsell revenue) | $99 (1,000 orders) |
| Mid | $19 to $29 | $9.99 to $19.99 | $249 to $499 |
| Scaling mechanic | Order tiers, locked at install | Auto-bumps tiers on orders OR upsell revenue | Order tiers; modular "Build Your Own" from $25/module |
Three billing facts that recent critical reviews on each listing keep repeating, phrased as reported: ReConvert merchants report automatic plan upgrades they didn't approve and billing based on all store orders rather than upsell orders. Rebuy merchants report large unexpected charges and, on the free Monetize plan, surprise that it displays third-party ads. Selleasy's complaints are milder (older grandfathered tiers shifting, widgets disappearing silently), and its price-lock policy is the structural answer to the category's bill-creep problem.
Capability map
- Frequently bought together / product page bundles: Selleasy's specialty, with list, grid, carousel, and popup layouts. Rebuy does it as part of the platform. ReConvert is weakest here; its center of gravity is after the purchase.
- Cart drawer: Rebuy Smart Cart is a full replacement and the category benchmark. Zipify's slide cart is the nearest competitor (covered in the roundup). Selleasy upsells inside your existing cart; it doesn't replace it.
- Post-purchase and thank-you page: all three offer it; ReConvert's editor is the most complete for the money. Remember the platform constraint: wallet and installment payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay) skip the post-purchase page entirely, on every app. Shop Pay shows it.
- In-checkout offers: Shopify Plus territory on all three. Rebuy and ReConvert both ship checkout extensions; ReConvert gates them to its Enterprise tier.
- A/B testing: built into Rebuy (as a package) and ReConvert's paid tiers. We could not find A/B testing on Selleasy's listing or site.
- Subscriptions: Rebuy integrates with Recharge, Skio, Stay AI, and Loop, and leans into subscription upgrades as an upsell type. ReConvert lists Shopify Subscriptions support. Selleasy lists none.
Decision rules
- Under roughly 500 orders a month, want bundles and cart upsells: Selleasy. Free to start, $9 when you grow, price locked, best rating of the three.
- Post-purchase and thank-you page funnels on a budget: ReConvert, with eyes open on the auto-upgrade billing mechanic; set a calendar reminder to check your tier monthly.
- The cart is the project, AOV is the KPI, budget exists: Rebuy. Smart Cart plus AI recommendations plus A/B testing in one vendor is the honest case for $99 and up. Our upsell setup guide walks through the implementation.
- Mostly wallet-paid checkouts (Shop Pay excepted): discount post-purchase features heavily in your evaluation regardless of app, and weight pre-purchase placements instead.
One layer most upsell evaluations skip: recommendation widgets work better when your product data is clean and machine-readable, and the same structured data feeds AI shopping assistants. The free AI readiness check shows where your catalog stands.
