- No. All 16 data tools are read-only: asking a question never writes anything. The one action, plan a blog post with Reach, only stages a topic on a confirm surface. The plan saves when you complete Reach's own confirm flow yourself, and publishing follows your store's approval settings.
- How do I turn the Sidekick tools on?
- Install AgentReady and ask. The first time Sidekick needs AgentReady data it asks your permission once, and from then on you just ask. Availability follows Shopify's own rollout of Sidekick app extensions; where Sidekick is live and AgentReady is installed and up to date, the tools appear automatically.
- What questions can I ask Shopify Sidekick once AgentReady is installed?
- The ones you would otherwise open a dashboard for: how AI-ready is my store, where do I rank in AI search, why isn't this product showing up, did my recent fix work, what should I track, what should I write next, which posts made money, and which AI agents are reading my store. Each maps to a deployed tool that answers from your real data.
- Can Sidekick write and publish a blog post for me?
- It can start one. Say plan a blog post about a topic and the intent opens Reach's plan-a-post flow seeded with your topic; you can even reword it mid-conversation and the staged topic updates. Nothing is drafted or published by the conversation itself. You review and confirm the plan in Reach, and drafts publish only per your approval settings.
- Do the Sidekick tools cost extra?
- No. The integration ships with AgentReady, and answers reflect what your plan tracks. If you are not tracking catalog queries yet, the rank tools will tell you that honestly rather than inventing a number.
