Store optimizations: find catalog SEO problems, then fix what is safe to draft

Last updated 2026-07-09

Webmaster tools can tell you that dozens of products share one meta description. They cannot write better ones. Store optimizations is AgentReady's catalog SEO scan: it finds the problems on published products, drafts unique meta descriptions from each product's own data, and writes only what you approve.

Open it in the app under Checklist → Optimizations (/dashboard/checklist#optimizations).

What the scan flags

  • Meta descriptions: duplicate, missing, too short, or too long for a search snippet.
  • Page titles: shared or missing SEO titles on products.
  • Product body copy: descriptions under about 50 words of real text, or the same body text copied across multiple products.

The scan only looks at published products. Drafts and archived products stay out of the list.

What you can draft and apply

Meta descriptions are the fix path today. AgentReady drafts a unique blurb from the product's own title, type, and description. You review every draft and approve the write. Nothing goes live without you.

Page titles and thin or copied body copy are detect-only for now. The scan shows the problem so you can fix it in Shopify admin. We do not auto-rewrite titles or product bodies.

Why this matters for search and AI

Shared meta descriptions and thin manufacturer copy are a classic SEO liability. They also give AI assistants no reason to prefer your listing over a competitor with the same pasted text. Unique, product-specific blurbs help both Google snippets and assistants that quote your catalog.
